Thicker Than A Pound of Butter
Forward onward
sweat in the desert heat
march forward as if you hear
the roll of a drum don’t miss a beat
march careful where you tread
a silent prayer should be said
there’s no other world but the world
you’re in..
Weapon ready
a steady gaze
hesitate not though you be afraid
though fear be a brother to you
still your comrades depend on you
onward forward
in skies of blue
in nights so dark and black the secret password
is the only truth..
Forward onward
to the very mouth of hell
where the cannons scream and rockets yell
blood runs thicker than a pound of butter
a flash of blinding light
you’ve just lost another brother..
Onward forward
is your command far from home
in a arid land
of things foreign to you
where there’s an yours
truth
come into dispute
and death alone comes out the good
