Louder
(Rainbow People)
Want to know who you are you
Rainbow People
of origins unknown to me
tell me who you are
louder
so that I may hear you…
You’re no different than me
you: sleep
spit
dance
bleed the same as I do
who are you
louder
so that I may come to know
you…
Come dance under the stars with me
teach me
the dance that you do..
I am empty of knowledge
of you
my children want to know you too…
what language is that you speak
can I learn to speak it too
louder
it has culture and earth tones
the rhythm of music too
why is it I haven’t come to know you..
louder
you say you didn’t know
I wanted too
that I too have been speaking in whispers Rainbow People
afraid of different shades and hues
I’ll speak louder now
I see the beauty in you!
