The Day The Yellow Marigolds
Didn’t Arrive
Wanted to send you yellow Marigolds
anonymously
so you’d have sunshine to place on your desk
it then occurred to me
all the inquisitive questions your
fellow co-workers would ask…
I’d liked to have thought they would
put bright back in your eyes
as you day dreamed of soaring across the sky
perhaps
place a few yellow flowers
in your hair
as you sit at your glass topped desk
feeling as if you are going nowhere…
Wanted
to send you yellow Marigolds
to the office you’re stuck in
perhaps this note is one step better
it’s a brief note from a friend!
